Michael Sandridge

VP, Foodservice Sales

Michael S. Sandridge is Vice President of Foodservice Sales at Sandridge Crafted Foods, with responsibility for sales and support to prospects and clients in restaurants and the many varied foodservice applications. He is the younger son of company founder Vincent Sandridge.

From the age of 14, Sandridge spent his summers working in the company warehouse. After graduating from Culver Military Academy and attending Kent State University he briefly explored opportunities outside of the company only to return in 1986 for a 10-year stint in plant operations. He then took the lead role in the company's foodservice division where, even today, he carries on the Sandridge tradition of solutions-building that his father established from the beginning.

“Our foodservice customers are looking for meal solutions and products that reduce their operational expenses. They don’t always know what it is they’re looking for, but they know where they’re feeling pain,” Sandridge says. “When we walk into an operation, we’ve done our due diligence. We’ve looked at the menus and we bring ideas to the table that remove labor, increase quality and consistency, and improve their operation's ease of use.”

Often, businesses think they’re too small for a company like Sandridge Crafted Foods to be viable solutions provider, but Michael says that some of his best successes have been his engagements with small companies, like a regional pizza chain with five locations. “They initially wanted us to craft three of their recipes to help save them in labor and ingredient costs. That has since grown into an additional 11 or 12 other products that have made their operation more efficient and has ultimately saved them a great deal on their costs,” he says.

Personal Life

“At heart, I’ve always been a bit of a cowboy” says Michael, referring to his upbringing in rural Medina County where he trained show horses in his youth. Remaining close to the Medina headquarters, Michael and his wife Kim live in nearby Granger Township where they enjoy spending time with their kids and grandkids.

In addition to his role at the company, Sandridge serves on the board of Hospice of the Western Reserve

Family remains Michael's top priority. He cherishes the opportunity to work alongside his brother and his nephews on a daily basis.
