Savory Mac & Cheese Waffles

If you love fried mac & cheese, you'll love these waffles!


  • 1 lb. Macaroni & Cheese
  • 2 T. fresh parsley
  • 1 t. mashed minced garlic
  • 1/4 C. chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 C. shredded Cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 C. seasoned panko bread crumbs
  • Nonstick cooking spray, for the waffle iron


  1. Preheat waffle iron and spray both sides with cooking spray.

  2. In a medium bowl, stir macaroni & cheese, 1 cup cheddar, egg, onion, parsley, garlic and bread crumbs until evenly combined.

  3. Scoop about ½ cup of the macaroni and cheese into the center of the grate and sprinkle with more cheese.

  4. Close the iron and cook until golden and crispy, about 5 minutes.

  5. Use forks to carefully remove the waffle from the iron.

  6. Repeat until you’ve used up all the macaroni and cheese. Serve warm.
