Chicken Tortilla Tamale


  • 2 2/3 cup Tortilla Soup with Chicken
  • 2 1/4 cup masa flour
  • 1/4 cup chicken fat
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


  1. Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.

  2. Make 4-inch balls with the mixture. 

  3. Next, form the balls into pyramid shapes.

  4. Arrange on a perforated pan and cover with a damp towel. Then cover with a lid.

  5. Place over a pan of boiling water and steam for 40 minutes.

  6. Serve with a side of guacamole and sour cream. Enjoy with warm tortillas or chips.
